Anti-Racism For Birth Workers 101

This is an introductory workshop for those looking to learn how to begin developing a practice rooted in anti-oppression. This workshop is interactive and requires folks to reflect on their social locations and privileges. This workshop is for people wanting to learn about "allyship" and how to develop a reflexive practice. 

Inclusivity for Birth Workers 101- Let's Make Birth Safe for EveryBody

In this workshop folks are asked to challenge their understanding of who gives birth and what families look like. 

The goal of this workshop is to open the minds and hearts of birth workers to understand the vasty diversity of birthing people and families. This workshop discusses how different social locations like ability, gender, relationship styles, career, etc. can impact someone's reproductive and caregiver journey and how we can use our tools and resources as birth workers to provide inclusive and affirming care. 

Supporting Sex Workers Through Reproductive Experiences

In this workshop folks will explore their bias and stigma towards sex work to get a deeper understanding of how the stigma creates barriers for folks accessing support.

We will explore the ways the law create barriers for workers and makes the work unsafe due to the partial criminalization of the work and what that actually means for workers.

Folks will leave with an understanding of Sex work in Ontario/Canada and receive tools to support folks and make their practice more accessible and affirming to this community. 

 

Conscious Collective Care - Creating your Postpartum Care Village

This workshop is will teach you how to support folks through creating a community of care around them to support their postpartum journey.

This workshop is inspired by own lived experience with postpartum mood disorder and struggles  connecting with community.

In this workshop people will learn the 3 step method to building community care circles that they can guide their clients through.
